People Moving & Handling Update

This course is designed to be an update course as a part of the staff's continuing development. It has been written in accordance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (Revised 2004). All training is designed and delivered to inspire good, safe practice and positively encourage active participation. All staff should have attended a full day manual handling training within the last 2 years.

In order for the training to be fully effective and to meet your organisational needs it is important that all attendees have read the organisationís Manual Handling Policy and Assessment Documentation.

All trainers are experienced in MH training specifically in the area of handling people.

The weighting of the information will be specific to the needs of the tutor group and agreed at the beginning of the session. Candidates are assessed on both retained knowledge and practical application, and are required to meet a set standard in order for a certificate to be issued.
