Qualsafe Award Level 3 in First Aid at Work
This three day programme is available to anyone – regardless of any previous first aid experience.
The actions required in an emergency and how to conduct a primary and secondary assessment on all casualties will provide the individual with a sound knowledge and understanding of all first aid procedures that could be called upon at any time. The course covers amongst others, first aid in the workplace, rules and regulations, writing incident reports, first aid containers and responsibilities of the first aider.
The Course is delivered in accordance with guidanced issued by the Health & Safety Executive under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course covers vital theory and practical techniques for all aspects of First Aid at Work.
The course is designed to encourage active participation from all attendees, and delivered through both didactic and practical sessions including role play, group discussions, games and real life case studies.
Assessment is via a multi-choice question paper, a practical session on casualty management, and a practical session on CPR. Candidates are required to pass all three elements in order to gain a First Aid at Work Certificate.
